      Hello

I'm running multiple pfsense appliances and one of them is the Netgate FW-7541.

Some packages are outdated on this one compared to the others like the "openvpn client export utility" and "snort".

The netgate appliance has been updated to 2.1.1 amd64 two days ago.

I'm running a 2.0.3 and 2.1.1 in production on different gear and got no outdated packages.

      Any clues/ideas on that ?

      thanks.

The Netgate devices pull packages from a separate repository. It will be updated shortly.

Netgate firmwares use their own Netgate package repository, which lags the official pfSense one.

You can override this setting by going to the settings for packages by typing in: https://hostname_or_ip_address/pkg_mgr_settings.php
There is no link to these settings, you have to type it in.

Next, check the box to use an un-official package server and put in the official pfSense package server, which is: https://packages.pfsense.org

I see you edited my link from https://www.pfsense.org to https://packages.pfsense.org

It doesn't work with https://packages.pfsense.org, it only works with https://www.pfsense.org.

              I just tried it again….
