I try to contact by email info@electricsheepfencing.com (address indicated in the site).
No reply received until now, then i don't know what to do. -
Heve you contacted them ?
I'd like too, but just some kernel minor kernel changes. Internal use only.
anyone had success ? knows a guide to it ?
thanks,

No answer. Not a single word.
:(.I feel disrespected. I use pfSense from 2005~2006 and was very good time.
Now no one can reply this question. I send the email and no one reply.
What i must do in next ?.
I will evaluate other projects (linux based) and look for a substitute.
Can be GPL3, but, is more "open" then pfSense is right now.
FreeBSD , Linux, or other open project i can download the source, bootstrap and build.
Even FreeNAS from IXSystems i can do that and contribute with code and work.
Every project has your trademarks and not problem with this. So, it's ok. This is not BSD License anymore. Is everything, but not BSD.
But more important then this, i can't just have one word from netgate, by email or forum. -

You are not alone and there is no need to feel bad. The sociapaths such as Mr. Jim Thompson should feel bad. Perhaps he's gonna be happy with his registered trademarks, he sure can take a picture with them and be proud of the project he killed.

So… perhaps try again, or check your email setup?

So perhaps you can make the source code available instead of this BS?

Hi, I'm also from ESF. Email, try it. It works. -
Perhaps instead of posting similar utterly ridiculous junk here, you should stop falsely advertising this as open source project.
-
some here need to read a dictionary.
-
Extremely mature reply again… Hope you are the only owner of this sinking ship.
-
In even this, doktornotor fails. Likely I have more actual sea time than he imagines.
-
Another amazingly mature response. Also, deleting my posts has been extremely mature. (Yes, I do have screenshots of those.) So no, the click-click GUI is not the core of this project. Things like pf/ipfw/apinger/other OS customizations are. These core sources have been unavailable for 2 months now, and remain so.
Where is the source code? (Alternative: When will you stop deceptively advertising this as open-source?)
-
doktornotor accuses of immaturity, deletion and other, whilst hiding behind his nom de plume.
All while the source is available and open.
fascinating.
Some people enjoy shouting, but pissing into the wind doesn't usually result in things desired.
-
@gonzopancho:

GOTO (yet again).
On the "nom de plume" note, does Theo de Raadt happen to be your alter ego? While apparently you do not give a damn about community any more, you should perhaps unplug the keyboard for the sake of maintaining your customer base. Haven't seen such blunder for quite a while.
-
How does one unplug a wireless keyboard?
What is the sound of one hand clapping?
What does the fox say?
Such are the mysteries.

You pull the batteries…

For the unknowing:
Theo de Raadt lives in Canada.
Jim Thompson lives in Texas.
Anyone who has met both will not confuse the them.
-

Why not? You both behave like total idiots when it comes to dealing with other people. (A.k.a. I'd rather send a bad patch to Linus.)
-
We are unaware of any patches sent by doktornotor.
