I have an enclosure from varia-store.com http://varia-store.com/Hardware/PC-Engines-Accessories/Indoor-enclosure/ALIX-Embedded-Box-for-ALIX-2D3-ALIX-2D13-for-WLAN-and-HDD::1177.html and would like to reuse it with the apu1c4 board.

Has anybody out there tried?  I'm concerned about heat as you can imagine.

      Thanks
      Seth

I wouldn't bother.  Since the APU board uses the case as a heatsink (with a shim between the CPU & case bottom) the tolerance for error is basically zero.  Remember, the older case1c case from pcengines doesn't work with the APU and if they couldn't make their own case work, a 3rd party isn't going to do it right either.

        I can break anything.

Also it's a steel case the aluminium cases only seem to keep the thing just cool enough.
