      Hello All!!

I have taken the time to read through threads here plus elsewhere via Google pointing me to other sites.  I have limited, disabled and changed setting in order to resolve the issue of consuming 100% CPU.  It idles along at 40-50% but spends lots of time sitting between 95 and 100%.

Here is the image of System Activity:

Any thoughts, ideas suggestions are welcomed.  I know enough about Linux to be less than dangerous…..

      Have fun in the meantime!

The CPU on ALIX is pretty slow by today's standards. If you leave a browser open on the dashboard it could chew up that much on there.

Open an SSH connection to the firewall, run "top -aSH" from the shell, and close your browser window to the firewall. If the CPU drops to 0 or close to it for PHP, then it's probably just the load from your browser on the dashboard or another AJAX-enabled page doing a continuous poll.

I also see this behaviour with 2.1.3 on a Alix 2D13 on viewing the dashboard. But with 2.0.1 this problem doesn't exist on the same hardware.

For what it's worth.  I'm also seeing high cpu usage for php after upgrading from 2.0.3 to 2.1.3 on ALIX.6F2 and a Watchguard Firebox x1000.  When closing the tabs for the web interface the cpu on the ALIX drops to 0.  However on the Watchguard it does not.  It stays around 80%.  Wasn't seeing this issue on 2.0.3.

Same problem for me. I came from 2.0.1 and upgraded to 2.1.3.
