I've just upgraded from the 27/5 build to the 9/6 build and the web interface kept saying firmware upgrade in progress. It didn't halt my web access so I left it.

24 hours later it's still saying the same thing, so I rebooted the virtual machine (I'm on Hyper-V) and it's showing as the 9/6 build and appears to be working.

I'm presuming this isn't desired behaviour, so are there any logs that I can post to help figure out why it seemingly stalled and prevent this for others?

Did you happen to switch between 64-bit and 32-bit versions?

There were some problems with snaps around the end of May, so it's probably nothing to worry about unless it keeps happening.

Ok, so don't I feel a fool for asking now, thinking I could help.

You are right, when I updated the firmware updater I grabbed the wrong architecture and did indeed switch from i386 to amd64.

I'll try todays update later to see if that run smoothly, which I have every confidence it will as I'm not being a numpty this time.

          Thanks…

If you switch architectures it won't automatically reboot in some cases, so what you hit is expected.
