      Hello,
we setup a pfSense 2.1.3 as a proxy Server with squid, squidGuard and HAVP.

After a while our Nagios Server send a notification about to many processes (199).
I check the processes on the pfSense and saw, that there are many idle HAVP processes.

      99890  ??  I      0:00.01 /usr/local/sbin/havp -c /usr/local/etc/havp/havp.config

      HAVP processes total: 112
      HAVP processes idle: 80
      HAVP processes sleeping: 27

      Is this normal?

      Best regards,
      Trexman

Is nobody using a squid proxy with havp?
How many havp processes are running on other pfSense's?

It is a pity that I did not get any answer…  :'(

Havp seems to be running, although I can see many log entries.

havp[35911]: connect() failed: Address family not supported by protocol family
havp[78165]: connect() failed: Operation not permitted
havp[19896]: connect() failed: Address family not supported by protocol family
