If a drive fails, or the mirror has some other error, will I get a notification

I just installed a fresh copy of 2.1.4 onto my server.
I have two hard drives, both SATA.
One Seagate and the other Western Digital.
During installation I created a mirror and installed to that.
Now on my dashboard, I can see the mirror status as "COMPLETE".Question… If a drive fails, or the mirror has some other error, will I get a notification via email?

No, not on 2.1.x, but that has already been implemented for pfSense 2.2.
On 2.2 there is also a GUI for gmirror drive management to add/remove drives and rebuild arrays and such.

What is the expected release date for 2.2?
Will I be able to upgrade my box from 2.1 to 2.2? (I have Squid package installed) -
No firm date for 2.2 yet, BETA should be happening Really Soon Now.
Upgrading from 2.1 (or any older release) to 2.2 will be supported.
