Unable to see remote ip's or fqdns from inside the network
-
Hi guys,
a little info first:
currently running pfsense (2.1.4-RELEASE)
1 public WAN IP
8 subnet ip's (6 in use) setup with 1:1 NAT
1 LAN IPThe skinny version:
So generally i have, 1 WAN IP, 1 LAN IP, 6 sub-net ip's on a 1:1 NAT scenario, all seems to work well, however for some strange reason i cannot record or collect external IP addresses connecting to internal servers, what im seeing from the inside of the network is only the internal LAN IP address connecting, it doesn’t matter who connects from the outside world, now im sure it is something simple that i have over looked but i cant seem to pinpoint exactly what it is.
i need to be able to see the external IP addresses of these connections for logging and admin purposes etc,
i know this info is vague, but perhaps someone already knows whats going on or could help.
thanks for your time,
Cain
