Password on .p12 file gen'd by Client Export Utility
-
Hi all,
I created a client cert in the Cert Manager, and then I went to the Client Export Utility and selected "Configuration archive". Now I'm trying to import the .p12 file from that archive into my Mac's Keychain, and it seems the .p12 file has a password on it… I did not select the option to "Use a password to protect..." up at the top. Is this a bug, or is there a standard password that the CEU uses in the .p12 file?

I am having the same problem with my Client Export Utility and importing to android 4.0
Not exactly a fix, I tried exporting the keys and certs individually instead of using the archive.Try that and see if it works.
You will need to export the
CA cert
client cert
client key
and possibly the TLS key if you have HMAC enabled. -
Has this behavior changed at some point?
Have you tried just clicking "ok" with the blank password?
When importing into windows it also claims it was protected with a password but if you just click Next and keep going it still works.
@radrmr - for Android, use the inline export format, much simpler and no need for a .p12. See http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Android_VPN_Connectivity#OpenVPN_on_Android_4.0_.28Non-Root.29

@ jimp - Thanks for the tip. It work great. I guess I hadn't updated the client export utility nor read the docs since first setup openvpn.

Tried clicking OK, but just comes back to password prompt…
This is a relatively new system, and am just starting to work with certs on it, so no change in behavior -- it has never worked :)Thanks

wdennis,
have you been able to solve this problem? I'm having the same issue. Is there a "standard" password ?
