      Hi All,
I just finished to install and setup my Pfsense 2.1.4-RELEASE Amd64.
I'm trying to install Xauth from
      [2.1.4-RELEASE][admin@pfSense]/tmp/xauth(70): pkg_add -rv ftp://ftp-archive.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD-Archive/ports/amd64/packages-8.3-release/Latest/xauth.tbz

It is still ending up with many packages that could not be found. e.g. libSM, libxcb, libXext etc…
Is there any action I should do before ?
      Thanks !

Here is the thread for the packages site as FreeBSD has put 8.3 into archive:

EDIT- looks like you already are using the archive path. Sorry. Try to browse to the Freebsd ftp site and see if those packages are listed there? Maybe they are in a different folder?

          Thanks for the quick answer.

This path is correct : http://ftp-archive.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD-Archive/ports/amd64/packages-8.3-release/x11/xauth-1.0.6.tbz
But it is still ending up with the same error, those lib* packages are not found.
Am I doing something wrong entering :

          [2.1.4-RELEASE][admin@pfSense]/tmp/xauth(76): pkg_add -rv http://ftp-archive.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD-Archive/ports/amd64/packages-8.3-release/x11/xauth-1.0.6.tbz

Goto filewatcher.com and search for "freebsd 8.3 libsm" and see if you can find it from there?

nothing work. missing packages are always listed. And when I try to install those missing packages, it shows other missing packages.
              e.g. : see screenshot.
              I'm totally confused now :((

I don't think I can help much further as I have never installed those packages. Maybe its missing some other dependencies or libraries?

Do a Google search and/or maybe someone else might post a reply to help guide you thru this.

Be careful as doing things like this can severely break your box. Always backup the conf file.

Yes its definitively related to other dependencies.
I'm unfortunately a Newbie in FreeBSD.
Is there anymore here who already faced those issues ?
Have you been able to install any other packages ??
