      Hello,

I have a Aruba controller and using pfsense for radius to wireless clients to authenticate. The idea here is that controller should look at the attributes for the clients and assing them to their respective vlans. The weird thing is when I test the radius with a software called NTRADPING or AAA Server Test in Aruba Controller I can see the attributes the radius returns(by wireshark when testing with Aruba). But it doesn't return those attributes when actually a user tries to authenticate. With same configurations I tested it with also IAS in windows 2003 server and it worked(It returned the attributes and assigned the user to its respective vlan). Can you help me to troubleshoot?

I think you are asking for help in determining why pfSense is blocking the radius packets?

Can you sketch out a topology? i.e.

        WIFI CLIENTS <–> [ARUBA 7200      ] <–> [LAN  pfSense  WAN] <–> Internet
Radius client &        RADIUS service &
