      Hi I am very new to this software and only installed it yesterday (and have already had millions of problems). I have just ordered another gigabit NIC (TP-Link TG-3468) and was wondering whether any NIC is compatible with the software ?

        You can use any nic supported by FreeBSD 8.3. http://www.freebsd.org/releases/8.3R/hardware.html
        The nic you bought should be supported by the re driver. I will probably work, but realtek cards are not known for high quality.

          Thanks for answering. I bought it cause it was cheap i'm not using the router for anything major im just trying to learn something new.
