      It will be great if any one can give his feedback in trying pfSense on Atom C2000 processor family which is designed to be fit for network devices (Rangeley).

      Here are other new with Atom C2000:

        Those boxes are very sexy! Anyone know where to buy them in EU?

          That does look like a winning combination of components but….
          In 2.1 the Intel i210 is not supported out of the box (there was/is a driver backport available but some stuff is broken) and I have no idea about the Marvell 88E1543.

            Perhaps this is something version 2.2 can/will target?

              Many many boxes are/will be using the i210 series chips so it's almost inevitable that pfSense will support it. The only reason it doesn't already is because of the altq bug found in the driver during late 2.1 testing. I haven't been following any updates on that but it wouldn't surprise me to find it supported before 2.2 in a 2.1.X release. No promises though.  ;)

                @docwho76:

                2. pfsense on Ubiquity Edgerouter Lite/Pro ?

                No way, and probably not anytime soon.
                Edgerouter use MIPS CPU, whereas pfsense is x86/x64?) only.

                  +1 for being able to run pfSense on the Lanner FW-7571A - seems like a match made in heaven

                    It should run fine on there now. i210 is supported in 2.1.4.

                      I just ordered a A1SRI-2558F-O SuperMicro Board with a c2558 quad core 15w atom. http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Atom/X10/A1SRi-2558F.cfm
                      Intel pro 2500 120gb hard drive should keep it nice and quick.

                        I just got done building a system with this same board. I stuck it in a 1U supermicro chassis with 4gb of ram. It's been real quiet. I'm pretty happy for about $400 out of pocket.
