Question about motherboards and NIC

Hi folks,

Our hardware provider is offering the following motherboards:

• Asus Z87 Grypho which has Intel I217V, 1 x Gigabit LAN Controller(s)
• Mother Asus B85-PLUS Socket 1150 which has Realtek 8111G, 1 x Gigabit LAN Controller(s)

But I've googled a bit and found that some people had troubles with those NIC's. What is your experiences with such a hardware?

Realtek 8111G should work just fine with pfSense. Can't vouch for its performance but it works.
As for Gryphon Z87, although I have been an adept of the ASUS brand for a long time, I think that super-duper military grade motherboard is a major(-general) joke!  ;D Stay away.
Actually I wouldn't fancy either mobo to build a router around.
