      I already enabled SMART in the command prompt of pfsense but is it really disabled by default? Also, if it is disabled in the BIOS can you still enable it here?

        AFAIK that message shows up if it's disabled in the BIOS and/or on a specific disk. Usually once you run it, it works in the GUI though.

          Oh ok. Well, if it's disabled in BIOS and then you enable it in pfsense will it modify the BIOS setting to enable also?
