      Hi,

I would like to assign a quota on my users to allow them 2 GB of Traffic per day unrestricted access. Once they reached this they should be limited to a slow speed (like 128k instead of 50M)

What is the best was to do this ?

Just to make sure. What's you're definition of a "day"? mid-night to mid-night, a sliding 24 hour window, or something else?

I think folks have mentioned doing this type of thing with the captive portal, but I don't know for sure as I don't use that myself at present.

Thanks, I've already checked this and only saw that you can limit the Bandwidth.

You can do this with the Captive Portal and a radius server. It's a lot of work though.

the e/book "freeradius beginner's guide" will probably be your best source of help. Read it a few years back and it was quite useful.
