      I have pfSense set up with 2 WAN connections (named WAN and CMST) and a local LAN connection.

      The WAN interface uses a static public IP.
      The CMST interface gets its configuration using DHCP from a Comcast cable router, which gives it a private IP (so yes, there is double NAT as a result).

      The LAN interface uses a static private address (different subnet than the CMST interface).

      Everything is working just fine, but in the System Log, this appears every minute.

      dhclient: FAIL

      Is it anything to worry about? Can I do something to make it quiet down so the other log messages are not lost in the sea of dhclient messages?

      Thanks,

        @nienberg:

        Is that all the message? It is almost entirely uninformative.

          Yes. That is all it says. About once per minute.

            Probably somehow the dhclient is still running on your static IP wan, and you haven't rebooted since you set that up.

            That bug has been around a while, should be fixed on 2.1/2.0.2 as far as I know.

              Hey, you're right! I rebooted and the problem went away.

              Thanks for the help.
