      pfs: 2.0.1 AMD64
      Dansguardian: 2.12.0.0 pkg v.0.1.6_1

When I download the URLBlacklist (bigblacklist) in DansGuardian I get an alert:

could not determine Blacklist extract dir

I've uninstalled/reinstalled a few times, rebooted a few times and still no luck.

Works fine if I use the shallalist blacklist but I'd prefer to use the bigblacklist.

Attached image shows how all the categories look after the failed extraction.

      Any ideas?

      Thanks

There was a fix these days for blacklist. Can you try to reinstall dansguardian package and re apply blacklist and/or download it to /usr/local/www/blacklist.tgz and point it on dansguardian blacklist gui tab to 127.0.0.1/blacklist.tgz (follow pfsense protocol and port on this url)??

If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure I figured this out.  It was my error.  I downloaded the URL Big Blacklist too many times and my blacklist.tgz was close to 0kb in size - the URL BL db server knew I downloaded it too many times and punished me by limiting the bandwidth to next to nill.  I waited a few days, retried, and all was fine.

That's  why I preffer to download it manually and copy it to pfsense.
