    Hello,

    So I upgraded to 2.2 RC from snapshot, and pfSense no longer allowed me to see my wireless card as interface ath0 I have a PC Enignes apu1d4, and a WLE200NX 802.11b/g/n miniPCIe card.

    When I went back to the snapshot on 20141209-0946, it worked as expected. I use the 4g-amd64-nanobsd flavor of pfSense.

      Nothing related to wireless has changed in months. I suspect something about your setup fails during boot on occasion. Is the card there at all in the system log post-boot? What ath messages are in the system log post-boot when it's not working?

          Good Morning cmb,

          Thank you for the quick reply!

          To be honest, I did a quick scan and did not find anything to indicate that pfsense detected my card at all. The first thing I saw was:

          "Warning: Configuration references interfaces that do not exist: ath0 "

          When I get home I will try reloading the RC and looking more thoroughly through the post boot log. I also have another card, I am going to try to just make a brand new image and see how that goes.

            Any luck with replicating that? I've upgraded my systems with ath cards multiple times since, including on an APU with the same card you have, and it's been fine every time.

              Hi,

              thanks for pfsense…

              identical hardware here with two of WLE200NX and after Web GUIded update from daily 2.2-RC snapshot to snapshot and implemented reboot the network interfaces mismatched, because:

              Warning: Configuration references interfaces that do not exist: ath0

              unplug, plug power works fine, beside several of these:

              UNREF FILE I=722312  OWNER=root MODE=100644
              SIZE=0 MTIME=Dec 18 15:51 2014
              CLEAR? yes

              May be the last is because of the not gracefully unmounted file system after unplugging.

                Same questions for you Bronko:

                @cmb:

                Is the card there at all in the system log post-boot? What ath messages are in the system log post-boot when it's not working?
