    Is the Realtek RTL8111GR LAN chipset supported in FreeBSD 10/pfsense 2.2 RC? Id like to know before I order parts for a computer id like to build. Thanks!

        how did you find if yours worked? Just bought it and tried it out? I've looked on double of forums and mailing lists or whatever they are called and there's never a definitive answer ifit works. It's sort of hit or miss many times.

          The sort of manufacturers who use Realtek NICs often change the ic revision without notification. It can be hard to know what you're going to get without actually querying it in software.
          The driver used in pfSense does not list the 'GR' specifically only the G and GU:

          Reported as working in 2.2 here though.

            yes, i just bought and used 2.2RC( completely forgot about the NICs)
