[Multi-WAN]routing with 2 WAN Interfaces using the same "public" netw & gateway
-
Hi,
I have 2 connections provided by the same ISP, let's say "82.235.6.1" on igb3 and "82.235.6.2" on igb2.
They both have the same GW : "82.235.6.254".
The problem is that there is no traffic at all on igb3.I'm using pfSense 2.0.1-RELEASE (amd64).
They both have the same weight and priority, respectively in "gateways" and "groups" tabs of the routing menu.
Also, the Gateways widget stays on "gathering data" for the GW of igb3.I watched at the static routes, and I think the problem is there.
here is the interesting part of the routing table :Destination Gateway Flags Refs Use Netif default 195.66.80.225 UGS 0 52538316 em1 82.235.6.0 link#3 U 0 8937 igb2 82.235.6.1 link#4 UHS 0 0 lo0 82.235.6.2 link#3 UHS 0 0 lo0
"default" is another GW, everything works well with it, nothing to do with my problem I think.
As I understand this, nothing is send on igb3.Does someone know how I can I fix my problem ?
Thanks,

using the same gateway on multiple wan connections is not possible with pfsense unless you use pppoe (AFAIK).
the common solution is to put 1 wan connection behind a different nat router

Thank you for the answer.
My provider is using IPoA, but pfSense doesn't support it currently (AFAIK).
I'll must use a double nat and it will be a real pain to maintain.I can't find any word on this limitation in the wiki nor in the (non-exhaustive) features list, so I can't put a link as reference.
