With the current Pfsense 2.2RC build and the previous the Unbound Resolver silently fails.

      2.2-RC  (amd64)
built on Tue Jan 13 14:58:02 CST 2015

      FreeBSD pfSense.ghkrauss.com 10.1-RELEASE-p3 FreeBSD 10.1-RELEASE-p3 #0 8bdb2f8(releng/10.1)-dirty: Tue Jan 13 15:48:53 CST 2015 root@pfsense-22-amd64-builder:/usr/obj.amd64/usr/pfSensesrc/src/sys/pfSense_SMP.10 amd64

I stopped the resolver and restarted it and was able to resolve names and bring up web sites. I am not well versed on Pfsense internals but felt I should pass this on to those working on the Pfsense 2.2RC.

I had the same problem last night - lost access to all websites.(previous build) I loaded the resolver in the gui and clicked save and everything was back to normal. This morning it cut out with the same version mentioned above.

So "silent failure" means, there's nothing in the Resolver logs indicating why Unbound failed?
Is the service marked stopped in Services?
I have updated my gateway to the latest version and will see if it fails for me, too.

The Unbound Resolver showed an up status in the service status window,. However, I could not resolve any domain names.
I have upgraded to the latest build and will see what happens.
