I have $500 to spend on hardware for 30 LAN users / 25 phones / 5-10 VPN users. We have a 30 mbps / 10 mbps plan.
I'm brand new to building server hardware, so if there are any helpful resources please feel free to forward me to them. I am looking to switch off our horrible vendors and learn a thing or two. After using sonicwall and cyberroam, I cannot seem to find a SSL VPN solution that works for my company.
Can something reliable be built for this kind of money?

or order a supermicro server off newegg with those specs and add ram and a drive
