Building a pfsense firewall - will this hardware do it ?

Hello. i was searching google for an open source firewall and found pfsense and it looks great and will do all i need it to do.
i have this hardware and i was wondering if this would be a good setup for my pfsense firewall?Hardware
what i have
Gigabyte j1800-d2h motherboard (i already have this at my home, so i want to use this as my platform)

linksys router (ddr-wrt firware)what i need to buy
TP-LINK TG-3468 PCIe Gigabit Adapter (so i can get two Ethernet ports)

Check your hardware in the compatibility list.
The TP-Link NIC seems to be based an a Realtek chipset. Both aren't exactly knows as outperformers. -

The people who develop FreeBSD tend to use a lot of high end hardware because they're mostly sys admins and run real servers and only recently getting decent wifi support. Your best bet for PFSense hardware is Intel and no wifi.
