      Hi all,

Today I have build succesfully my PFsense box consists of the following hardware:

      AMD sempron 3850
      Gigabyte GA-AM1M-S2H
Intel EXPI9301CTBLK Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter PCI-express
      2Gb of ram
Asus ASUS PCE-AC68. based on the Broadcom BCM4360 chip

Everything is working now exept the wireless part
Can't assing the wireless card under interfaces because there is no + sing showing for adding a card.

I have found out that my wireless card is not support, the DMESG is showing

      pci4: <network>at device 0.0 (no driver attached)</network>

Unlike I do my homework before I buy and the hardware compatibility list shows:

The bwi(4) driver supports Broadcom BCM43xx based wireless devices,

I have installed the newest version of PFsense based on freebsd 10.1

Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction or is better support for this chip coming in the next release?

Sorry for my bad english I try my best to make this a clear story.

Support for wireless cards in BSD isn't great.  I'd advise dumping that and getting a nice WAP and plugging that into your LAN.

The bwi driver is used for older BCM cards while the bwn driver is used for newer cards.  But even the bwn driver does not appear to support the 4360 chipset:
          https://svnweb.freebsd.org/base/release/10.1.0/sys/dev/siba/siba_bwn.c?revision=274417&view=markup#l79

The bwn driver does appear to be included in the pfSense 2.2 kernel (use 'kldstat -v | grep bwn' to verify), but according to the bwn man page you need to load firmware for these cards.
          https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=bwn&sektion=4&manpath=FreeBSD+10.1-RELEASE

I second the advice from kenjianshi, regardless of card support, and especially with this card.

Hmmmm thats really a shame  :-[

It appears to be such a nice card for the job.

I think I send the cards back to the shop and bij a nice accespoint.

What do U guys think of this one? (it can be setup as an acces point)

Thank U for thinking along with me.

Yep that's an 802.11ac chipset. Definitely no support for that in FreeBSD. Use external access points if you need that. The best you can do in pfSense is 802.11N and you'll need a compatible chipset to do it, mostly Atheros.
