With pfsense 2.1 my WAN ping speeds were very stable and would remain at ~12ms for weeks.

I am now finding that if I download a few Gbytes my ping slows to >30ms and sticks at that figure regardless of load. Has anybody else seen this?

I have queues set up exactly as before to share out my available bandwidth and prioritise ICMP, gaming traffic  & VoIP, with the total set 500Kbps below the actual line rate of 38.5Mbps. With 2.1 this meant my ping would be below 30ms even when downloading at 38Mbps. This behaviour was always solid as a rock.

I've tried releasing and renewing my WAN DHCP lease, but this doesn't bring the ping back down to 12ms, however a reboot does.

      Puzzled.
