      Here's another issue with squidguard.

With the recent update, it seems that safesearch option no longer works.

I noticed that the new release of squidguard-squid3 appends extra string to the url automatically that breaks the rewrite.

      the url should just be:
      https://www.google.co.th/?gws_rd=cr,ssl&ei=kvrOVM3lLoak8QWE9oCICg#q=test&safe=active

      but it shows up as:

      https://www.google.co.th/?gws_rd=cr,ssl&ei=kvrOVM3lLoak8QWE9oCICg#q=test&safe=active%20172.16.0.ip/clienthostname%20-%20GET

That addition seems helpful for logs but breaks the the safesearch option.

Any way to resolve this issue?

      Thank you again in advance!

        Hi!

I want to share my current work around for now.

To strip the white space, I set:

What to do with requests that have whitespace characters in the URI

in the Proxy Server General Settings page to

        chop

Now safesearch is working back as usual.

I hope this is useful for someone.

        Have a nice day!
