I downloaded pfSense-2.2-RELEASE-4g-amd64-nanobsd-vga.img with the intention of running pfsense 2.2 from usb. Writing the image and default booting nanobsd 2.2 on my atom d510 results in a mountroot error 19.

Troubleshoot guide suggests to escape to loader prompt and enter the following but to no avail. Any ideas?

      set kern.cam.boot_delay="10000"
      boot

Try disabling 'hostres'  as suggested here:
        http://wiki.pcbsd.org/index.php/Talk:Installation_Troubleshooting
If it works put the tunable in /boot/loader.config.local

Does it boot a 2.1.5 image boot in the same setup?

        Steve

Thank you for your help with resolving my USB mountroot error. I will need another usb key to try 2.2 image with the suggested

          set debug.acpi.disabled ="hostres"

Same setup boots with 2.1 image. Snippet from 2.1 log

Successful in booting 2.2 from another usb stick without any fuss. Must have been some compatibility issue with the first usb stick and 2.2 so I will use it for 2.1
