Fit's stuff has never really lived up to the hype for me. They're too expensive to use for a desktop replacement, I might as well just get SFF Dell Optiplex systems, and they don't sell the FACE modules separately so unless you want to spend $1200 on a high-end box with the 4 NIC module, at which point you should just buy a Rangeley box, you can't use it as a decent router either.
I'll admit that these are interesting, but I'll hold further judgement until I see the pricing on more than just the base model…

Looking verrry interesting.
fitlet-B, as entry-level model, seems sensibly priced at 129$ - but no good fit for a router, with only 1 NIC.
fitlet-X on the high-end looks a great piece of hardware but I'd also guess it will probably be in a pricing band that makes you look for alternatives.fitlet-i: the price of this middle configuration will probably make or break it for me.
Dual-Intel LAN, ac Wi-Fi and quad-core (as opposed to dual-core on the entry-level) however make me cast some on the suggested 200€ price (no source given for price).At a mere 200€ I'd definitely consider getting one.
at which point you should just buy a Rangeley box
Would the Rangeley have any immediate advantage, in pfSense?

So quickly checking Amazon:
32Gb mSata - $37
4GB SODIMM DDR3 - $33Which brings fitlet-X-LAN to a total of $332, which is not that bad for a device with 4 Intel NICs and extra WiFi dongle to spare :)
Would be nice to see pfSense HW compatibility tests once those boxes are available.

That does look like might make a nice little pfsense box, but I am more interested in pfsense running on the unifi edge router lite, only has 3 interfaces and no wifi (don't need that for my needs) But its price tag is much nicer at under $100

ERL is a nice little machine, but it is a bit underspeced for my taste. But it depends on what exactly you need from pfSense installation…

The Fitlet's Intel NICs are i211. Anyone sure they are currently supported from FreeBSD 10?

Nope. Maybe it was the i210 which is not yet supported.

This is great. Although, fitlet-i is comparable with (a bit cheaper) Shuttle DS437, fitlet-X-LAN is better option when more than 2 NICs are required…
