WebUI keeps crashing

My pfSense webUI keeps crashing (it's probably the http server, the firewall and internet access keeps working).
To trigger it, it's enough to flip through some menu sections, and the webUI goes down:
503 - Service Not Available
If I hit F5 couple of times, I will get occasional
500 - Internal Server Error
but then it's back to
503 - Service Not Available
and I have to reboot the whole machine.

Watch the dashboard while it's up- state table, memory, cpu, disk usage, etc. Look at the logs. If you can get to the console or ssh when it's down, take a look at ps-xa and see if you have runaway processes.

The 100% sure method to induce this crash is to go into Packages, click on uninstallation of broadbandD, and then "Confirm". It crashes instantly, every time, without fail. But I was able to uninstall RRD package without problem.
I got into ssh, then 12) pfSense Developer Shell, and then typed in ps-xa but there was no output.

Is this the same pfsense install as this you had indicated in a previous post:
The VM has 500MB ram for itself and is running in AMD-V mode on a quad-core A5-4000 1.5Ghz CPU. There are 1-2 clients on the LAN networks.
If so, bump the memory as it's probably too low.

Yes, it is the same one. I made the mistake and the actual memory is 300MB, but the memory usage never goes above 50%.
Perhaps it is something like that: https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=6484.0 ?

I gave pfSense 1GB ram and 2 CPUs. Still the same problem.

Not the dev shell, just the shell. The command shows the running processes.
If you need to delete a package, see if it come up in pkg_info or pbi_info. You could then pkg_delete or pbi_delete packagename -
pbi_delete did the job. Thanks.
