Green_saver not working after upgrade to 2.2.1

I had followed the instructions in the topic linked below to blank the screen (running 2.1.5) and it worked great

Just upgraded to 2.2.1 and now it does not seem to blank the screen.

Any ideas or suggestions?

I press the power button on the monitor…

I never look at the console unless something stops working.  So thats basically never.

In my situation the monitor is integrated into the PC (re-purposed industrial style panel mount PC), so there is no power button for the monitor.

That module is the 8.1 version. I would grab the version from FreeBSD 10.1 and try that.
