Squid does not install properly
-
Squid never completes reloading the filter and after some time produces the following message:
i386
8.3-RELEASE-p5
FreeBSD 8.3-RELEASE-p5 #1: Mon Feb 11 21:48:37 EST 2013 root@snapshots-8_3-i386.builders.pfsense.org:/usr/obj./usr/pfSensesrc/src/sys/pfSense_SMP.8Crash report details:
PHP Errors:
[12-Feb-2013 08:18:41 America/New_York] PHP Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /usr/local/pkg/squid.inc on line 1326 -
That line has been there unmodified for 6 years, so something else must be triggering it. Have you recently modified your config somehow? Perhaps erased all packages from it?
-
No modifications were made to the config.
The only way that I was able to get that crash report was opening a new tab and going to the dashboard.
Updating to the Friday build of 2.1 and trying to install squid stalls at reconfiguring the filter.
-
had that happen to me last night and I just rebooted and uninstalled then reinstalled squid and it seemed to fix it for me
-
Rebooted and now remote access is broken which leads me to believe that my local internet access is now broken as well.
Might try another rebuild.
-
Check for error messages during pfsense boot on console. If a package fails, it fails pfsense startup script too.
-
So I reverted back to before I installed squid and updated to the latest snapshot with only openvpn export and pfblocker packages installed however the console is trying to start squid and apache w/ mod security even though they are not currently installed.
I did try previously to install them but encountered the same stalling.
