      Hardware:
      -Intel atom mobo
      -PCIe dual Intel GBE Nic
      -30GB SSD
      -CrystalFontz LCD

I've been running this hardware for almost a year an a half on pfsense. Recently I upgraded from 2.2 to 2.2.1. After the reboot I no longer could access the web. I suspect it is DNS related.

The LAN port still connects to my switch and assigns DHCP leases to my devices.
The WAN port still pulls a valid WAN IP from my cable modem.

Pinging anything on the internet fails from any device on the network. Pinging local devices works fine.
Sometimes from the web interface of pfsense I can use the ping option to ping google.
Sometimes from the local interface of pfsense with a kb/monitor/mouse hooked up I can ping google.

It seems like WAN connectivity is very intermittent.

I can provide any logs, details or anything you need.

Right now I'm using my old netgear router to connect to the web. Is there any way I can revert to 2.2 or fix 2.2.1? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I did see that thread, and I think I checked those options, but perhaps I'm in over my head.

If I post some logs/screenshots would that help?

It looks like a similar issue with mine, as already stated:

please perform further investigations (see again my post) and if the issue is close enough start to post there too so the experts have everything in one place.
