      Hi all,

I want to migrate to a system like this

      Jetway Mini-PC
      http://www.amazon.com/Jetway-Intel-Celeron-N2930-Fanless/dp/B00OY8Q0QC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1428583075&sr=8-1&keywords=jetway

      Samsung M-sata 120GB
      http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Series-120GB-mSATA3-Retail/dp/B00HT2RNSO/ref=pd_cp_pc_2

      Crucial 4GB
      http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-PC3-12800-204-Pin-Notebook-CT51264BF160B/dp/B005LDLV6S/ref=pd_bxgy_pc_img_y

My current is on a HDD disk.

Is it somehow possible to dd / copy whats on the HDD to the msata system and have it work?
Or how best would I do that.

Why would you want to dd from the old disk to the new one? The hardware will be so different on the new motherboard that it might not even boot. Just back up the config from your current box and then restore it on the new one.

That's a decent price on that.  I've mucked around with similar ones at work, kind of neat having the whole case as a heat sink.

For sure you are right with this, for another $25 he gets a real professional Board but
if this is right now enough for him he will be sorted!
              Supermicro A1SRM-LN5F-2358-O
But then the case, RAM and perhaps a SAT_DOM comes on top!

That Supermicro system looks a lot like the FW-525B which will not boot FreeBSD 10.1 and thus does not work with pfSense 2.2.n

You just need to know somehow that the system you buy will boot current FreeBSD/pfSense - maybe this one will? I am not sure.

As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle."

                  The FW-525B is based on:
Hardware: Intel PineTrail D CPU - ICH8M Express Chipset Motherboard
                  Jetway FW-525B

                  With CFCard!

                  versus a

And the Supermicro A1SRM-LN5F-2358-O is based on
                  Intel® Atom processor C2358, SoC
                  (Rangeley), 7W 2-Core, 1.7-2.0GHz
5x GbE LAN including 4 ports pair LAN
                  bypass (SW programmable) ports
                  with SoC I354 and I210-AT

                  Without CFCard!

It is a Rangeley 2 Core SoC platform or the little brother of the C2558 and 2758 SoC.
