Help for new bee

Dear HUBA and other experts
please write some starting points for new bees
I already download the livecd
094 097 and bita
but when i boot it stops on menu
unable to assign interfaces
unable to assigne ip
interfaces are shown as
r10-up and vr0
thats all
if any one just spent five minutes nd
write down how to with starting
like boot pc from cd
then….......
then.......
then from other pc connected same lan enter address xxxx
it is help full for totaly new pfsense lovers who want to use it
