2.2.2 Upgrade -> OpenVPN Failure in Web GUI
-
Hi,
We were in the middle of testing OpenVPN and its setup, when we figured it would probably be a good idea to go ahead and update pfSense to the latest version. It updated to 2.2.2. Nowe can't load any of the OpenVPN config pages etc.
We get the following:
Fatal error: Can't use function return value in write context in /usr/local/www/vpn_openvpn_server.php on line 805
Any ideas?
Thanks, Dave.

No idea. It should work fine. My guess is you have been "customizing"
Wipe your drive and reinstall latest release without any cool mods.

Same problem here: https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=92616.0
From command line, or Diagnostics->Command Prompt do:
php –version
and see what version of PHP you have ended up with.
This also has an issue related to upgrading an still being left with an old PHP version: https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=92712.0
It seems that there was some issue with file protections on upgrades that prevented some files being replaced. From cmb https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=92712.msg514140#msg514140 I expect that if you get the upgrade file and run it again it should apply everything correctly now.
The full update files at http://files.atx.pfsense.org/mirror/updates/ show a 21-Apr-2015 date as of now. -
Happened to me on a fresh install posted in this thread. https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=92712.0 Not an upgrade but a fresh install.
