So I have been using PFsense v2.1.5 for some time but noticed over the last week that my email wasnt flowing just right.

Doing a telnet internally to the SMTP port gives me the standard "220 " response message with the correct FQDN etc data but externally now I am getting a response of "220 *************************************************************"

Any ideas on what could be causing this?  My NAT config has not changed from external to internal.

      Thanks,
      Keith

        Hi,

Are you saying that NAT (on pfSEnse) isn't working anymore ?
Your postfix server needs a break ?
Postfix is running on pfSense ??? (it might as well prepare you coffee, but, please …. don't try that one)

Btw: understand that most of us, if not everybody, do not run 2.1.5, we all use the '2015'  version : 2.2.2.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

Its great that you use the most recent version but no I am not saying that NAT isnt working anymore.

Clearly from my description the SMTP server is responding to the incoming connection request its just that I am not receiving the banner on the external connection as I do from the internal.
