      I took over a network of 100 internal systems (6 of which are servers) and I have about 200 people outside of the office who check email (exchange hosted here onsite) and also various internal websites we have setup.

      My question, as I have not been lucky enough to find the answer;
      we use Exchange 2010 and the FireBox we have now spam filters and also virus scans for us.  I see that if I want to do this with pfSense, I'll need to configure spamD and such.  Has anyone had any issues with using spamD and MS Exchange server?

      thnkx in advance, just trying to find a box to move over and start testing….

        I must admit I'm shocked that there are no replies at all.

          I'll apologise on behalf of everyone else for keeping you waiting.

          As far as I know there is no issue using spamd in front of Exchange; it's a largely standards-compliant SMTP server so you shouldn't have anything to panic about with spamd unless you have a large number of contacts in China or Korea.

            Thanks for the reply, but no apology is necessary.  I remember this place being way more active about 2 years ago when I was heavy into using pfSense…  Thanks in advance.  I already have the setup going in my lab and feel that I can make the switch tomorrow evening.

            Thanks,
