Maia Mailguard or another SpamAssassin Frontend?
-
I found a post about a year ago about running Maia Mailguard in a jail, but it is in Portuguese and is most likely outdated by now.
Has anyone successfully set up Maia or an equivalent frontend for managing SPAM?
My company uses Maia and it is great, but so far the only way I know to make it work would be to set up 2 virtual machines and run them separately. We are working to develop an all-in-one firewall/router that is simple enough for any of out techs to manage. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone? -
maybe on 2.1 you can install Maia package form freebsd ports.
Try it on lab, it if not ask for a newer php version, then probably works.

You mean just drop down to the FreeBSD prompt and install the package? Not in a jail? I am sorry, I have just started using pfSense, so I am still trying to familiarize myself with it. I would also need to install MySQL as well, correct?

Yes, just use pkg_add -r
for amd64 on freebsd 2.0.x
pkg_add -r http://ftp-archive.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD-Archive/ports/amd64/packages-8.1-release/security/maia-1.0.2a_3.tbz
Test it on a virtual machine first to see if it breaks or not pfsense gui.
