Unable to check for updates

Installed version:
2.1-BETA1 (i386)
built on Sun Mar 17 11:30:36 EDT 2013

Dashboard says "Unable to check for updates."
Packages says "Unable to communicate with www.pfsense.com. Please verify DNS and interface configuration, and that pfSense has functional Internet connectivity."

This is in the log:
Mar 25 22:31:41 php: /index.php: XMLRPC communication error: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: hostname nor servname provided, or not known
Mar 25 22:31:41 php: /index.php: XML_RPC_Client: Connection to proxy server admin:8080 failed. php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: hostname nor servname provided, or not known 103

What proxy server would it be trying to connect to? I have no proxy setup or installed.

I have downloaded and manually installed the latest snapshot and I still have the same problem

Looks like you auto-filled a bunk proxy server under System>Advanced, Misc tab.

Thank you, that fixed it. I don't know how it happened, I know I didn't make any changes to the proxy settings in that page. Anyhow thanks again.
