I am new to Windows server. I am watching video on youtube and the topic is connecting client to a windows server 2012. It says there that I need to turn off the router DHCP so that the client will get the Windows Server DHCP. I turn off pfsense DHCP(installed in virtualbox) but the IP i am getting in client is still 192.168.1.109 instead of 10.1.10.2. Any one can give step by step guide on how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

On the client run ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew.

No, it's not.  You said you are trying to get DHCP working on your Windows 2012 server and you turned off DHCP on pfSense.  So now that your LAN clients can't talk to your DHCP server, that's somehow pfSense's fault?
