Hi! I'm building my self a pfsense server, but the motherboard that i'm using only got one ethernet port. So I need a Ethernet Card, any suggestions on what I should buy?

I do not know if this is the best option there is but I use a used HP NC364T PCI Express Quad Port Gigabit Server Adapter in my build and it works fine. I got it for about 60€.

Using Made in China brand from ebay no problems.

Your other choice is "any 1 port gigabit card that fits" and use VLANs if your switch supports VLANs.

Myself, I picked up a dual-port Intel refurbished PRO/1000 PCIe NIC and have multiple VLANs configured on the second port.  The refurb price is low enough that I keep a 2nd NIC on the shelf as a spare.

For home use, I'd grab some Intel Pro/1000 card off ebay used.

For serious use, I'd buy this. Buy from known-legit sources for confidence in the hardware. You're never entirely sure what you're getting off ebay. Could be a broken Chinese knock off. Could be a somewhat-flaky piece of hardware someone's trying to pawn off.

4 and 2 port cards where shown above, but if you want a really good and supported single port card
you can also go with a Intel server network adapter I210-T1, it is brand new and there for not really
cheap to get, but working fine for me.
