      HI ALL

I'm Newbie in pfsense, zero knowledge to be honest, Hope i Can get a help from you guys. Thanks in advance

I have given a task to configure a captive portal using pfsense for students connection with NPS server.
We have 10 Cisco AP 1042 and WLC 5508, All AP are connected to WLC
All APs are in VLAN 254
      Students are in VLAN 30
      Staff are in VLAN 40

I setup the static ip  192.168.0.99 on WAN which is belong to vlan 40 and connect the WAN link to our switch port that does not have configuration on it.
I also setup a Static IP 192.168.15.1 for LAN Port from Pfsense and connect laptop to that port, i could get to the GUI interface, however the gateway status showing offline.

      Sorry for the dump question.
I hope you can help me :)

We're all happy to help, but you did not actually ask a question.  Give us a network map and post your question.

Honestly i am asking for a guidance of setting up captive portal for our students.
At the moment we are using psk to connect the students to the wi-fi.
I have given a task to configure a captive portal using pfsense.
I am able to access GUI and i can see both LAN and WAN are up, but the gateway showing offline.
I set static ip for WAN and connected to our switch port that does not have configuration on it.
How can i get my gateway online?
APs are connected to WLC. how can i connect my pfsense to our wireless AP?

This sounds like your school homework/project - really you want us to do your school work for you?

Why else would you be given a task to setup something you have no clue about?
