BandwidthD - How to specify the timespan for traffic monitoring

Hi all,
I'm using bandwithd package to monitor the traffic. I have the possibilty to choose different subnetworks but I'm not able to select the timespan like choosing the exact ddmmyyyy star and end period.
I'm only having the options daily, monthly, yearly.
Is there a way to have the traffic for a pecified subnetwork and the period I will specify, not only daily, monthly, etc.

Sounds like you may need a better package than BandwidthD. There is no way to filter on date/time that I am aware of.
There used to be some other packages out there besides BandwidthD. NTOP comes to mind, but I don't see it available under a 2.2.2/2.2.3 package listing, so it might not be updated or available on the newer firmware.
Darkstat and vnstat are two other monitoring packages I see available on my 2.2.3 unit. I've never messed with them, but they might have better filtering options.

I've installed the package NTOPNG, it displays much more details per IP like protocols, application type, visited websites, etc. but I still can't filter by specifying date/time. I just have very few timespan option like 1m, 1h, 1day, 1week, 1month, 1year.
I cannot specify like from 2015/05/06 09:00 to 2015/06/06 10:00 and also diplay the graph for that period.

I'm not sure if any package offers that. You can give a try to the other 2 I mentioned… but I don't think they will give you the data sorting you want.
You may need to consider using something off the firewall like Cacti (http://www.cacti.net/) and use it to monitor ports on your local area network instead. It offers a pretty nice front end and all graph data is sortable by date/time ranges.

You may want to export Netflow info and have some other setup like FlowViewer or SiLK handle the analyzing. For exporting, pfSense should come with softflowd and pfflow.
They are less popular with normal users but Flow Analyzing is very powerful and capable of respectable response time. There is a bit of a learning curve.
