    Using:
    2.1-BETA1 (amd64)
    built on Fri Apr 19 07:42:14 EDT 2013
    FreeBSD 8.3-RELEASE-p7

    I have WAN/LAN IPv6 working and I pass all of the test sites but I have a questions regarding DNS.

    I set IPv6 DNS servers in General and selected the wan-DHCPv6 Gateway and set 2 IPv4 servers and set the wan-DHCP gateway. I ran into a few issues accessing some resources that are not IPv6. I was not getting IPv6 DNS servers from comcast when I have the override option set.

    I then set my ipv4 DNS servers in DHCP for my LAN. That resolved some odd behaviors but I noticed I do not have a IPv6 DNS server set when I view ipconfig data on my Win 8 box, just an IPv6 Address, Temp Address, Link Local and gateway.

    is this normal or did I goof it somewhere?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

      @wawamaster:

      when I view ipconfig data on my Win 8 box, just an IPv6 Address, Temp Address, Link Local and gateway.

      I see the same where Win7 clients do not set the advertised IPv6 DNS server (the pfSense LAN IPv6 address).  I eventually gave up and set it statically on Win7.

      Mac and Linux work just fine.

        This used to work a few months ago. Something broke along the way.

        My experience has been a little worse than priller, my Fedora boxes don't get the IPv6 DNS entries either. Haven't tested anything else really.
