      Hi everyone.

I had pfsense box up and running for a couple of days and was working great with all the features i wanted it to do(vpn and network wide adblock)

No I went and plugged in the printer to the network and the whole thing just crashed and has not been running for the past couple of hours no matter what I do.

      the setup is as follows

      ISP > Modem(Bob Lite) > Pfsense Box > Switch > Clients(3 of them)

I now this is not the ideal way to run Pfsense but i have not yet been able to get the modem to go into bridged mode correctly.

I had it all work in this setup for the past couple of days and then needed the printer, so i connected the printer to the  Modem.

Then it all goes downhill from there, all of a sudden i lose internet and i have no idea why, so i disconnect the printer and no fix.

I have restarted the Pfsense box and the modem multiple times to no avail.

I cannot connect to the WebGUI from the Clients and i cannot even ping it. I cannot ping 8.8.8.8 or Google.com

when i try load a webpage from browser it sometimes says DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET and i researched that but no fixes seemed to work.

Any help would be really appreciated.

      Alex.

        @Pentaganos:

….. so i connected the printer to the  Modem.

Modem ? I would have chosen for the "switch", so your printer is in your LAN and visible for your other devices.
Why connecting another device to you 'modem' (it has a build in switch ?) broke the connection, that, of course, is unknown.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

The only reason i connected the printer to the modem is because it was sitting right next to it, the switch is in another room and the printer is in this one. but for some reason caused the whole pfsense box to crash.

I forgot to mention that i have internet with whatever is connected directly to the modem, but anything from the Pfsense box on-wards does not have internet.

Reset the Box to Factory Defaults and it is still giving me the same error, if i could connect to the Box via WebGUI i could more than likely fix it, but no matter what i do it just times out on connecting to Pfsense even if it is just a straight cable from box to pc.

            Anyone have any ideas?

What happens if you disconnect the printer and reboot pfSense?
