just recently, my pfsense box hdd died and have to revert to using the nanoBSD version of pfSense (I used the 2Gb version) utilizing it on a USB Flash drive.

booting times seems slower but I can live with that, however…

every time I hit 'save' that initiates writing to the USB Flashdrive takes more than 4mins to wait. is it normal?

its just that I'm currently experimenting with traffic shaping and such, then every time I hit save, it will make me wait 4mins or even more to have the save finish.

the nanoBSD version pfSense is made thru using win32 writer if that makes a difference.

any hints/tips for this?, thanks in advance.

        Stop mounting it read-only.
