sent to Thomas.SMETS@******.eu OK but the mails never arrived ...
Normal. Your smtp server hung up:
Error: it was not possible to read line from the SMTP server: the server disconnected
It didn't like receiver mails from your pfSense. See mail server logs for more details.

@Gertjan
I can understand that some of the mails did not leave based on some the trace shown but there are also some line that finished with "OK"???
Why didn't I receive something then ?\T,

…. but there are also some line that finished with "OK"
???
Why didn't I receive something then ?The OK you mentioned is the result of some (pfSEnse) PHP scripting that managed to 'drop' the mail "in the circuit" on a lower level in pfSEnse.
At that moment, pfSense considers the mail has been send.
NEVER EVER event think that this means that the mail will be received ;)Many factors can make it happen that the mail won't make it.
You should start by look at the log of the mail server (on your LAN ? somewhere on the Internet ?) to see if the mail makes it up to there.

My mail provider is Google.
As I created an application password (16 characters), it reports some SMTP activity each time I push on send "TestMail". If I alter the password and resend a TEST mail … the System-log reports it all fine but the "Activity reported on the account" does not report any trace of the attempt.
