    Pfsense 2.2.4 panic/crash – submitted crash dump

      as per https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Obtaining_Panic_Information_for_Developers, my WAN ip is 24.93.187.29 and the dump was submitted as of about 23:12 EST.

      Not sure what other information would be useful, I've seen this crash a few times over the past week or so and reading the crash dump seems not so easy.

      I can attach the crash dump here if necessary.

        I don't see anything from that IP address at all, do you have IPv6 perhaps? Or a second WAN?  I see a couple things near that time but nothing near the IP address given.

          I do have ipv6 on WAN actually, address is 2605:a000:ffc0:69:48b8:d8e9:bcbb:fa5a

          does that bring up any results?

            All of the crashes were the same. That's a pretty odd place for it to crash, I'm inclined to point toward the BIOS or hardware (specifically, power management) but that's just a guess.

              Hm, Ok. The hardware is a Checkpoint UTM-1 270. I believe the original manufacturer has a hardware diagnostic tool that I can try running.

              Is there any pfsense specific hardware diagnostic tool that I could run?

              I'm aware of memtest, but if it's a bios/power management issue i'm not sure how I would go about diagnosing that.

                No, we don't have any hardware tests of that nature currently. OS-independent testing tools like memtest86 are best.
