Hello all, new to this forum and pfsense in general. I am a novice pc enthusist and have recently started to dabble in networking. I recently heard of this awesome software from linustechtips, and it got me interested in my own pfsense box. I currently have an older Dell Optiplex 780SFF lying around, which I know would be enough for the job, but im looking for something with much lower power draw and at a very cheap price. I live in a house with a friend and we only have a 30mb cable connection, so my question is Would a Wyse RX0LE be enough for the job? It only has 1 NIC, but has a PCI-e 4x slot avaliable.

Im mostly concerned with the sempron CPU inside. I have read that more RAM and CPU can make a big difference.

which I know would be enough for the job,

        Which job?
Firewall & Snort & Squid & SquidGuard & SARG or Firewall only job?

but im looking for something with much lower power draw and at a very cheap price.

PC Engines APU 1D4 board will be cheap, low power usage, silent and is running the pfSense firewall well.

I live in a house with a friend and we only have a 30mb cable connection,

The PC Engines APU 1D4 will be sufficient enough for that.

Mainly for firewall and adblock. And that board I can only find for like $150 which is 3x more then the Wyse on ebay.
